Here is the new SESSA C47

The Italian shipyard SESSA has just been reborn with its new Chinese owner. The situation in recent years has been very difficult for SESSA, but it seems that the site will be reborn again.

There are hardly any dealers in the United States, only one in Canada, but hopefully things will improve over the next few years.

The C47 has a very successful exterior look, the interior configuration presents a known and usual configuration with the aft galley and a well-appointed living room / dinette.

There are three bedrooms on the lower level, the master bedroom is at the front of the yacht which is conventional, but not always popular with boaters. Indeed, the sound of waves on the hull sometimes prevents people from sleeping well in the bedroom located at the front of the yacht.

But in return, there are two bedrooms with two single beds which will take advantage of the yacht’s central position, the yacht’s good location. It is possible to join the two single beds to make a larger one.

There are two toilet rooms with shower. The toilet is in the shower section which is usual for yachts under 50ft.

Let’s not be too harsh, this is still a situation that many boaters will appreciate, I hear the presence of three bedrooms and two washrooms for a yacht under 50 ft.

The engine is with VOLVO IPS 500 or 600, but most likely they will all be equipped with the new IPS 650 (but optional). Never forget that a better engine saves fuel.

We must also see for the power of the air conditioning and the generator. These data are difficult to obtain, but there is mention for the European edition of a generator of less than 7 KW, so the air conditioning must be minimalist. You have to see what is planned for a boat destined for the North American market.

MSRP in Europe is 595,000 euros, which means approximately $ 890,000 CAD. To this amount must be added the cost of transportation to North America, approximately $ 50,000 CAD.

This new model stands out from its sisters thanks to the crystal door that divides the saloon from the cockpit: the C47 is the smallest coupé presented by the shipyard to get the crystal door on the stern: a little detail that allows this model to be the successor of C44, the best seller of Sessa Marine.
