New Sunseeker Ocean 156 (LOA 82.5 ft)
Sunseeker never stops innovating. We’ll be seeing this new model very soon (probably at Cannes Boat Show, sept 2024). It’s called OCEAN 156, but it’s an 82.5′ overall. The name 156 represents its interior volume, in reference to its gross tonnage. This is to demonstrate that its interior volume far exceeds that of yachts in this category (80 to 85 ft). In fact, its interior and exterior volume is comparable to that of much larger megayachts.
The way the internal layout develops is different, too. The Sunseeker Ocean 156 yacht offers several different options across her three decks. There’s less reliance on fixed furnishings, for instance, and even non-structural bulkheads. Consider the main deck, for starters. You can see all the way from the aft entry straight through to the bow. If you prefer sharing cooking duties with a professional chef, you’ll really like the semi-open galley design from Sunseeker and Design Unlimited. It makes the area aboard this 82-footer (25-meter) a lot like a show kitchen. Combine it with an aft dining area and a bar forward. Or, create a cozy saloon forward. Other arrangements are available, too.
Regardless of your layout preference, the megayacht has full-height, opening glass doors to both sides on the main deck. The build and design team additionally made the stairway to the upper deck a floating staircase, with a glass wall. With the variety of décor materials playing further into the concepts of light and dark, guests will appreciate the feeling aboard, too.
Speaking of guests, the Sunseeker Ocean 156 yacht can accommodate more than most 80-footers, further more flexibly. Traditionally, eight people, including the owners, have staterooms. However, up to 10 of you can stay aboard this yacht. Your stateroom can sit on the main deck (top), further with sliding-door access to the foredeck. (Situating the en suite bath to starboard makes it possible.) Four more staterooms for your family and friends, including a combination of VIPs and twins, all sit below decks. Of course, if you’d rather keep the main deck completely devoted to daytime use, make the full-beam stateroom below decks yours.
Finally, the skylounge becomes an indoor-outdoor area when the sliding doors separating it from the aft area remain open. Along the same lines as the main deck, the Sunseeker Ocean 156 yacht prioritizes an open concept here. Therefore, you and your family can chat with the captain at the helm—the only one aboard—from the lounge area. Use the port-side door to access the forward alfresco lounge, stretch out on the aft furnishings, or whatever else you wish.
Anticipated to top out at 25 knots, the Sunseeker Ocean 156 yacht will premiere at the fall boat shows.
