Custom cabinetry can be found throughout BAREFOOT’S interior.   Her smoked Eucalyptus and Burled Maple helm pod, roll top briefcase storage locker, varnished cherry countertops in the heads and custom liquor locker are just a few of the exquisite details that set her apart.  Even her electrical distribution panel was customized and relocated to improve ergonomics.

Custom Settee / Cabin Arrangement

BAREFOOT has a custom alternate arrangement for the cabin that makes the boat an ideal couples cruiser with the ability to transform the dinette into a guest berth.   A curtain separates the space providing a cozy private area for guests. The cabin space is composed of an aft-facing L-Settee Dinette. The outboard settee runs the full length of the cabin with framed doors outboard and storage under seating.   A custom hull portlight is located between the two lockers. There is a custom framed liquor locker on the aft bulkhead and wine fridge

Custom Helm Pod

Helm pod in Pilothouse has vertical and horizontal faces veneered with Maple Burl. Trim around faces is laminated Smoked Eucalyptus. Dash flat fiddle is made of maple burl. The Sloped back and compass block is American cherry with alternating grain layers to create stripes.  Custom wheel stained to match smoked Eucalyptus.  There is a removable framed cherry locker outboard of the port helm seat that provides access to the machinery space when removed.

Carpentry Exterior (Hull and Deck)

The attention to detail found aboard can also be seen on her exterior.  Her custom aluminum alloy handrails under the flybridge overhangs were selected to blend in with the flybridge structure so that they would be hidden in plain sight.  Her solid natural teak decking is caulked with white caulking for a clean look that keeps cool underfoot. 

  • Cigar Deck and side boarding steps finished with teak decking with white caulking
  • Cigar deck/step teak soles natural finish.
  • Teak decking sole in cockpit. White instead of standard
    black Finish for teak decking is to be left natural.
  • Exterior handrails:
    Two painted aluminum handrails on underside of Flybridge rim. Handrails are painted to match deck and have non-slip surface on top edge of handrail. Handrails are in lieu of standard stainless handrails on sides of flybridge.
  • One Stainless Steel handrail at aft end of pilothouse (to port of custom FB ladder).
  • Two varnished Teak handrails on cabin top.
  • Custom Bow Rail – 1 ¼” type 316L stainless steel tubing. Bow rail to be longer than standard and end just forward of aft mid rail chock. Rail has integrated LED down lighting to light side decks, bow and anchor.
  • Fishing Rod holders (2) installed on side decks outboard of cockpit settees (Port & Starboard). Rod holders are Mate Series #C-2030-D, Combination Rod & Cup Holder in 316 Stainless with Oval Top 30º Rod Angle and 1/4″ Drains. Drains connected to existing plumbing currently installed on the boat. Rod holders are angled outboard and aft.
  • SeaLift hydraulic swim platform & dinghy lift with teak decking on frp platform. Teak decking runs fore and aft on platform. Caulking on teak deck is WHITE
  • Midship chocks are open in lieu of standard closed chocks
  • Teak Drawers above the port & starboard cockpit amenity’s teak louver doors.
  • Cockpit light switches located on aft face of the port amenity.

  • Removable teak step with stainless steel legs into cockpit at same level as cigar deck at extended step at base of custom flybridge ladder.

Flybridge Carpentry

The Hardtop flybridge found aboard BAREFOOT is a true engineering marvel.  Its carbon fiber construction is light and strong which minimizes weight aloft and provides a secure mounting place for railings and antennas.  Electrically actuated overhead hatches provide the perfect amount of ventilation when the forward polycarbonate windscreen is deployed.  A refrigerator and guest seating make the flybridge a destination when entertaining aboard.  Her custom ladder was designed to increase the tread angle on the lower steps and the enlarged landing makes access safe and comfortable.
