Extension of the Prestige Yachts brand with the new PRESTIGE X line range.
THIS IS THE FIRST OF THE RANGE: Â Â PRESTIGE X70
At the Cannes Yachting Festival (Boat Show) in September 2019, the manufacturer Jeanneau announced a diversification of the Prestige Yachts brand.
Indeed we will have for 2020 a new Prestige Yachts X70. It will be according to the manufacturer completely different from the current configurations. This 70-foot yacht will be launched at the Cannes Boat Show in September 2020.
THE X-LINE, THE NEW PRESTIGE RANGE SERVING THE ART OF LIVING AND LUXURY.
There are rumors here of a new concept based on sea access, a rear section (aft) that will be completely new. From everywhere on the boat, the sea will be clearly visible using opening panels to create this effect. It will create a Beach Club space similar to what  already exists on larger yacht units for example by Azimut and Ferretti, not forgetting Sanlorenzo, Princess and Sunseeker.
PRESTIGE CHOOSES THE INNOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW YACHTS AT THE SERVICE OF COMFORT AND WELL-BEING AT SEA.
Indeed, so far, there is lots of mention with regards to comfort and visibility but very little about navigation. Also,  it has not been  specified the classification of this new yacht (classification A, B, C) but it will be powered by Volvo Penta IPS.
Prestige Yachts has realized that the 65-foot sector is highly compétitive. Major recognized manufacturers are committed to innovation such as  Azimut, Ferretti, Riva, Pershing, Princess, Sunseeker, Sanlorenzo, in short there is competition in this category.
For example, Princess Yacht (made in UK) is experiencing a very interesting growth and produces all the class A yachts (CE classification), of high quality and recognized by the entire industry. Yes, the configuration of Prestige Yachts has seduced boaters and sales are there to confirm, but, since the release in 2012 of the first 500 Fly Prestige hull, Prestige has always reproduced the same configuration in all units.
There were few innovations apart from a few cosmetic changes. There are also an abundance on the second-hand market, which means that sales of new models will become problematic and propel prices down for both new and used models.
Prestige has had difficulté in making the Prestige 720 stand out and rumor has it that she will be removed from the lineup. The Prestige 680 also has had problems seducing boaters. The selling price is in this category is not necessarily the # 1 criteria of the buyers.
So, we are awaiting more news on this new line of Prestige X-Line yacht which will start with the new X70 promised for next fall.
