European Power Boat of the year 2021 : Turbocraft Silverfin

Here is the motorboat of the year in Europe for 2021, it is the 40ft Buehler Turbocraft Silverfin. The story of this boat is unusual. The origin of this boat comes from the United States and its initial version was popularized by a period film with James Bond, OPERATION TONERRE.

Today the boat is different, but it draws heavily on the original model. It is a company based in Lausanne in Switzerland which has developed this new concept of boat.

This boat is halfway between the traditional Lobster boat and the small explorer boat. The shell is also unique. Its shape and characteristics, based on the concept of a semi-planing hull, offer exceptional energy efficiency, stability and navigation comfort.

To deserve this distinction of boat of the year in front of all the available production, it had to be very innovative and exceptional.

Its range of action with its Volvo D3-220 engine ensures excellent range. It may have an optional D4-230. The maximum speed is 20 kn. It is equipped with a bow thruster and its MSRP price is around $ 550,000 USD.
