Cannes Yachting Festival 2019
This year, the Cannes Nautical Festival or the Cannes Boat Show, runs from Tuesday, September 10th to Sunday, September 15th, 2019.
This boat show, which is the first of the 2019-2020 season, reveals to the boating enthusiasts the novelties for 2020. In addition, Cannes is the only boat show that offers the opportunity to sea trail the boats and appreciate the new lineup, however not all manufacturers can offer this opportunity.
The large manufacturés such as Azimut-Benetti, the Ferretti Group, SanLorenzo, Princess Yachts and Sunseeker along with rising stars like Absolute Yachts from Italy all look forward to taking them out and showing off their vessels.
Some new yachts will be present exclusively at this Boat Show (Cannes) but many will also be available for viewing at the Fort Lauderdale Boat show 2019 which follows from Wednesday, October 30th to November 3rd, 2019 at the Bahia Mar site where we will also be present.
However, please note that the yachts presented at the Cannes Boat Show are mostly configured for Europe, for example, in 230V, 50 HZ. In addition, the vast majority have a smaller generator, reduced capacity in air conditioning and the standard of display in Europe is PAL whereas in America it is NTSC (for all the screens which display an image: reader GPS, TV, etc).
It should be noted that most marinas in Europe have 8, 16 and 32 amp electrical terminal showing the power consumption of yachts designed for Europe is much lower than for those designed for America.
Here’s why they are less expensive on sale there and especially since the $ 60,000 to $ 80,000 USD shipping cost to America is also nonexistent.
In short, major manufacturers must therefore imported several components from America to avoid any problem of electrical compatibility and display.
So, please be vigilant when comparing boats.
