Azimut Magellano 60

Azimut 60 Magellano, new model 2024

This is the premiere of the new Azimut 60 Magellano 2024.

It will be present at the next Boat Show in Cannes.

Azimut has greatly modified the Magellano concept with this new model. I’d say it appeals to both traditionally interested boater flybridge and fast trawler.

Firstly, it’s a class B (CE), with a fairly powerful motorization. It will be powered by two MAN I6 engines (2 x 730 hp) which will enable it to reach more than 26kn.  It will be propelled by shafts.

That’s a long way from the usual speed of a trawler, or even a fast trawler. But Azimut wants to meet the needs of customers who want a trawler look without compromising on speed.

The suggested retail price will be $1.9 million USD for the base model and $2.7 million USD for a well-equipped model (with the most popular options).

Here’s what the Azimut Yachts press release has to say:

An ode to freedom and elegance, the new Magellano 60 is a crossover that gracefully expresses an explorer spirit boosted by the navigational prowess of a Dual Mode hull. Its discreet charm smoothly unwraps through ample spaces with a luminous nature, while its comfort courteously delivers a travel privilege that knows no boundaries. A pleasant and promising onboard philosophy for prolonged journeys to new frontiers.

A visually immersive experience. The cockpit is large and extends longitudinally to leave the aft glass parapet free, which offers a spectacular view of the horizon. The table can be raised transforming the terrace into a pleasant dining area.

Charming comfort. The internal dining area sits before a floor-to-ceiling window, which offers breathtaking views of the waves. The table, with its practical square shape, can be raised and extended if necessary, allowing six guests to lunch comfortably in the presence of the sea.

The warm and welcoming full-beam Owner’s Suite captures the contemporary and suspends it in time, the perfect sanctum for longer stays at sea. Chosen with care and attention to detail, the distinctive palette of materials ranges from a Viennese straw, adorning the furniture, to the softly textured fabric behind the headboard. The interior design and decoration in this room are intended to envelop the owner in an oasis of wellbeing.
