Another competition held every year in Europe is :

EUROPEAN POWERBOAT OF THE YEAR 2025
The winners of the European Yacht of the Year 2025 were announced on Saturday, January 18, 2025, on the opening night of the Düsseldorf Boat Show. Dubbed the “Oscars of yachting”, this year’s awards included 12 nominees, from which we elected five winners for each listed category.
The 12-strong jury is made up of eminent boat critics from their respective countries, spread across Europe.
Each candidate (boat) is tested by all jury members during two weeks of trials in two different locations during the autumn. It’s an impartial, intense and comprehensive program that not only rewards the winners, but, by exposing and revealing the boats’ strengths and weaknesses, helps to encourage the construction of better-built, more value-for-money new yachts.
