NEW FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE 106
The Ferretti Group has announced plans to create a new megayacht in the Custom Line lineup at the most recent Miami Yacht Show in February 2018.
This is the Custom Line 106, it will be a semi-planing hull, but unlike the Custom Line 108, which is part of the express range, this new creation will have the look of the Custom Line 120, but in 106 foot version.
The Ferretti Group offers a complete range of semi-displacement hulls with the Navetta series from 28 meters to 42 meters and also intends to offer a diversified range below 40 meters with its Custom Line hull semi-planing.
Beyond 42 meters, the CRN division takes over by offering tailor-made mega-yachts.
It is clear that the Ferretti Group wishes to reach and surpass its long-time competitor, the Azimut-Benetti group. They hope to become the world’s No.1 for the next few years. Since the Ferretti Group was acquired by a Chinese Group, the research and development is in full swing and we can see new hulls making their appearances every year.
But this year, the Sanlorenzo Group also announced large investments. The Sunseeker Group, which also belongs to the Chinese, is also investing, not to mention the Princess Yachts Group (England), which is also investing heavily to produce new hulls.
The Europeans are selling, hopefully the Americans will be able to keep up.
