GLOBAL ORDER BOOK 2025
At the end of each year, BOAT INTERNATIONAL magazine publishes a list of boat manufacturers, or rather yacht and megayacht manufacturers, in order of the number of linear feet produced.
But the magazine only takes into account yachts over 75 feet. So it takes three 80-foot yachts to equal one 240-foot yacht.
Another major absentee from this year’s statistics is the Italian FERRETTI Group, with the following brands:
– Ferretti
– Pershing
– Riva
– Itama
– Custom Line
– CRN
– Wally
For some years now, the Ferretti Group has not been disclosing its production figures to the magazine. When it was among the statistics, it was a serious challenger to the AZIMUT-BENETTI group.
So here are the 2025 rankings:
Unsurprisingly, it’s the AZIMUT-BENETTI Group that ranks first, for the 25th year running. It has to be said that the BENETTI division contributes greatly to this exemplary ranking.
All 8 of the 12 manufacturers are unsurprisingly Italian, including the top two. It’s natural to say that if the Ferretti Group were part of this ranking, the top 3 groups would be of Italian origin, and have been for years.
Among the top 12, of course, are the two English bands PRINCESS and SUNSEEKER.
This is a good indication of boaters’ purchasing trends for yachts over 75 feet.
But there’s no doubt that a manufacturer who mainly produces 100-plus-foot yachts has a bit of an advantage.

The list of manufacturers becomes very abundant under the 75-foot mark. It’s important to have references on a manufacturer’s reputation and especially its warranty policy. The differences between certain manufacturers are sometimes major.
Of course, the initial purchase is important, but you also need to think about resale value.
Whether the boat is new or pre-owned, the same criteria apply to assessing resale value, which is closely linked to the reputation of the manufacturer and the model you’d like.
