The publication SUPERYACHT TIME (internet) reports a fire at the Ferretti factory in Cattolica, Italy, an unfortunate event that took place on January 11 at around 9:30 am, Italian time.
According to the information and photos, it seems quite important. Besides the boat(s) directly affected by the fire, the smoke also caused damage or consequences to other boats.
Fortunately, no one was affected by this fire.
It is already difficult to get the contracted shipments of boats, let’s hope this event will not affect the production schedule too much.
The one that was on fire was a Ferretti Yachts 920 (Fly). The factory (or shipyard) in Cattolica manufactures or finalizes the range of Custom Line and Ferretti Yachts (up to 100 ft). The yacht was in a covered warehouse of 9000 m2 located downtown in which 16 yachts can take place.
Of course the Ferretti Group has several factories in Italy. They also manufacture the RIVA, PERSHING, ITAMA, MOCHI, CUSTOM LINE, WALLY and CRN.
