New project for the great Italian manufacturer AZIMUT YACHTS: the introduction of the models SEADECK 6, SEADECK 7 and SEADECK 8.
There is a lot of audacity in this project. We are inspired by the new trends in the BEACH CLUB approach present in many manufacturers, that is to say, to bring the boaters closer to the water at the rear of the yacht. We are talking about a new concept at Azimut that will EMBRACE THE SEA, this concept defines a new lifestyle paradigm based on well-being.
The manufacturers are rethinking the traditional cockpit approach to give or create a more concrete contact with the water and it is successful.
Boaters will love being closer to the water and not just with the swim platform space.
This concept allows all the people on board to be together and close to the water. It will certainly be an undisputed success with boaters. Azimut calls this new approach to the cockpit or rather the rear set of the boat: FUN ISLAND.
This innovative and holistic concept was developed in collaboration with Alberto Mancini and Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, who are making their debut in the yachting world with AZIMUT :
“We wanted to create a boat that emphasizes the concept of openness and transparency, and that also represents a radical change in terms of the relationship with nature. With the introduction of the Fun Island, the Seadeck is in fact a floating island where owners can get away from their daily routine and live in total contact with the sea,” comments Alberto Mancini.
Azimut promises these new hulls for 2024. The SEADECK 6 should be ready for January 2024 for the Düsseldorf boat show, and the new SEADECK 7 and 8 for CANNES in September 2024 and Düsseldorf in January 2025.
It is about hybrid propulsion, a pro-environment approach, lithium batteries, solar panels, night mode without generator, in short, we change the approach to be more efficient, in tune with the changes that boaters demand in terms of environmental protection. With the new SEADEK range, we are talking about reducing emissions by more than 40% compared to existing yachts in this category.
These new models will be powered by Volvo’s PODS IPS, which alone can provide fuel savings of 20 to 30%.
Azimut’s research and development department remains a leader in the industry and is always in development mode to introduce innovations based on the needs of boaters in order to maintain its attractiveness.
Mrs. Giovanna Vitelli, new president of the Azimut|Benetti Group and daughter of the founding president, the famous Mr. Paolo Vitelli comments:
“Seadeck is a new starting point for future generations. Once again, we want to trace a path that will be a source of inspiration for the entire industry, so that the theme of respect for the environment is interpreted – as is the case with Seadeck – with a concrete approach made of investments, technological research and the courage to introduce a new lifestyle that embraces the sea.”

The year 2023 may be a transition year for the major manufacturers, it is certain that many have put their foot down on the new hulls, but this is only a postponement, 2024 and 2025 promises to be rich in novelties and AZIMUT shows us here a few facets.
It is very likely that the Azimut S6 and S7 models and probably the S8 will be replaced by these new very innovative hulls.
To be continued…
