Standard specification

Structure and shape of hull

The structural design complies with standard EN-ISO 12215. The hull, the deck and part of the flybridge are made with the infusion technique and assembled using structural adhesives purposely designed for nautical applications. This construction technology allows a reduction in weight, at the same time improving the mechanical performance and comfort. The reinforcement fabrics are in fiberglass with a multiaxis, one-direction configuration and PVC foam inserts.

For hull is laminated with resins and vinylester mastics that are extremely effective at preventing osmosis and blistering, thanks to their intrinsic chemical and mechanical properties. Thanks to this configuration in fact, Azimut offers a 5-year warranty against osmosis. Isophthalic and vinylester resins were used for the superstructures, while the internal structures are coated in isophthalic and ortophthalic resins suitable for nautical use. The bulkheads and internal divisions are made of marine plywood and PVC sandwich. Semi-planing hull for comfortable, efficient navigation in all seagoing conditions that can be classed as “not calm”, at low and average speeds up to 24 knots.
